AquaMagic, Inc., announced today it had filed for patent protection with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its AquaFlash™ filtration system.

This unique drinking water system condenses moisture from the air and purifies it using a combination of heat, ozonation and carbon filtration that company president Jonathan Wright said: produces water that is more pure than even bottled water."

Wright also stated that the company would be incorporating this technology into several planned products in the next two years. "The area that we really want to have an impact, he said, is in disaster relief. There are so few good options for helping people in a crisis get life-saving water. Most people don't realize that severe dehydration can occur as quickly as two or three days and often results in death," he said.

The company is planning to introduce a completely mobile unit that can be driven or airlifted into a disaster area and will produce over 100 gallons a day. Company representatives are hoping to have units ready to respond during the hurricane season of 2006.
